AppleTV: Neue Version setzt auf 99cent-Streaming

Auf der Apple-Veranstaltung im kalifornischen Cupertino stellte Apple-Chef Steve Jobs eine neue Version der Set-Top-Box AppleTV vor. Das deutlich kleinere Gerät setzt den Schwerpunkt auf Inhalte, die vom Rechner oder aus dem Internet als Stream bereitgestellt werden. Der Konsument erhält HD-Fernsehserien von ABC und Fox für 0,99 $ pro Folge. Wired.com schreibt dazu: “…The new Apple TV is a major hardware upgrade. One quarter the size of its predecessor, it’s a small black box with curved edges, somewhat resembling a hockey puck.
